Sungpil is the Artists & Cultural Spaces Lead at 221A. He has been in the non profit arts sector for over a dozen years. His role involves the onsite community and tenancy relationships at 221A’s studio buildings. He has worked at VIVO Media Arts Centre organizing exhibitions (2017 – 2019), as well as running an independent curatorial project based in Chinatown called Spare Room (2014 – 2019). As a material practice, Sungpil currently makes photographic documentation with a focus on film portraiture. He completed his BA in Art History at University of British Columbia.
