Ketty Haolin Zhang is a visual artist and a cultural worker. She was born and raised in Chaoyang, China. Informed by her diasporic experience as a 1.5-generation immigrant settler, her art practice navigates her relationship with placelessness, liminality and (non)belonging in a hyper-globalized world. She has worked at UBC Learning Exchange, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, and most recently as Communications & Development Coordinator at Centre A: Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. As the Communications Coordinator at 221A, she looks forward to transforming innovative ideas into digital media projects that highlight stories from the community.
