Dan Adleman is a UBC English PhD candidate who is interested in psychoanalysis, digital biopolitics, and narrative representations of violence. He teaches English Literature and Rhetoric at BCIT and UBC. Last summer he helped curate the Tate Modern Gallery’s “Topology” event, which featured talks by philosophers such as Peter Sloterdijk, Étienne Balibar, and Bruno Latour. Adleman is also the co-director and head curator of the Vancouver Institute for Social Research (VISR), a critical theory free school held at the Or Gallery in Vancouver.
