Jessica Miinguuaqtii

Jessica ᒦᖒᐊᖅᑏ Miinguuaqtii is of Inuit, Irish, Welsh, Métis and English ancestry and grew up within the stolen lands of the Halkomelem speaking peoples, commonly known as New Westminster, BC. She currently lives nomadically as a visitor within various stolen Indigenous territories across what is commonly known as North America. Jessica is passionate about trauma informed decolonial wellness practices, creative emotional expression, and self awareness. These subjects are prominent in her visual art, storytelling and film projects, and her work as an educator, community builder and arts administrator. Inspired by all forms of creative expression and self discovery, Jessica is eager to be of service to others on their unique personal journeys. She is the Regional Director of the Media Arts Alliance of the Pacific, sits on the Board of the Independent Media Arts Alliance, and is soon to be a graduate of Capilano University's Documentary Film Program.
