Martha Kirszenbaum

Martha Kirszenbaum is a curator based between Los Angeles and Paris. She has held positions at such institutions as the MoMA, New York (2006-2007), Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (2007), the New Museum, New York (2008-2010), and is currently the director and curator at Fahrenheit, an artist residency program based in Los Angeles. Kirszenbaum has curated widely across the United States and France, and recently has proposed and organized exhibitions for the 2011 European Culture Congress in Wrocław, Poland and the 2012 Marrakech Biennale in northern Africa, as well as the film program Fetish & Figure (2012) at the Institute for Contemporary Arts / Lux Biennial for Moving Images in London, UK and Tramway in Glasgow, Scotland. In 2013, Kirszenbaum curated a collaborative project between the Palais de Tokyo and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. Alongside holding seminars on curatorial practices at Université Paris VIII and Parsons Paris, she is a regular contributor to Kaleidoscope and Flash Art.
