Robi Smith

Robi Smith is an accomplished visual artist with a Masters of Education in Arts for Social Change from Simon Fraser University. From 2014 - 2018, Robi was Artist in Residence with the City of Maple Ridge where she facilitated a wide variety of community-engaged art projects, including an annual lantern installation celebrating local river ecosystems. She has also created opportunities for artists and scientists to connect by curating art exhibitions at scientific conferences, including the Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference (2014, 2016, 2018), the International Marine Conservation Congress, and the International Seabird Conference. Parallel to her career as an artist, Robi has 20 years of experience working as a communications professional for non-profit organizations and government agencies. She is currently the Arts & Culture Coordinator for the City of Port Coquitlam.
