Gareth James is an artist who frequently works with discarded, clandestine or unwanted objects such as bicycle components, cheaply made doors and obsolescent ideas. Born in London, England, in 1970, James holds a BFA from the Slade School of Fine Art, London, and continued his studies at the Independent Study Program, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
