Courtenay Mayes was the Coordinator, Operations at 221A from 2018-2019. Mayes is an artist and designer and graduate of Concordia University who has worked in a variety of roles in service to artists: Founder/Director of The Paper Apartment Gallery in Montreal, Co-Director of Gallery VAV, and most recently as the Director of the Hornby Arts Council. She also has experience in the management of multi-family dwellings and commercial tenancies in the City of Vancouver. Courtenay has also been involved in volunteer work through artist-run centres in Montreal as well as with the Coast Protectors (2018, Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs).
