Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Shahana Rajani is an MA Candidate in the Critical and Curatorial Studies program at the University of British Columbia. She received a BA in History of Art from the University of Cambridge in 2009 and has since worked as a curator and educator in Karachi. She is invested in exploring the politics of visuality and representation, urban space and violence, desensitisation and public grieving, and using curatorial strategies to generate counter-geographies and forms of resistance.
