Dennis Ha is an artist and curator born in Hong Kong, SAR. He graduated from Emily Carr University with a major in Visual Arts. Ha has been involved with curatorial projects such as exhibitions and film screenings at various artist-run centres in Vancouver. As a curator he works with ideas surrounding function and utility, with an interest in the interactivity and economics of art and design. In a recent project he utilized the gallery as a space for celebration by inviting the audience to engage and be part of the artwork with games and performances. As an artist he works primarily with photography, writing, and music. Dennis Ha is a 2012-13 Curatorial Resident at 221A.
